A big thank you to everyone who nominated causes in our ‘40 Free Floors for 40 Good Causes’ appeal last month. Once again, we received some truly inspirational stories from the UK, USA and Australia and New Zealand.

Don’t worry, there’s still time for you to get involved. We have six floors left to give away and are now accepting nominations for June. All you need to do is submit a name and a reason why your nominated cause should be considered.

Remember, all nominations from previous months will be taken forward, so there’s still a chance your cause will be chosen by our judges.

Check out last month’s winners and their stories below…

From the UK, nine-year old Elise Kemp. Miranda Shearer from Complete Flooring Somerset nominated Elise to receive a free floor for her family home. Living with a rare illness which confines her to a wheelchair 24 hours a day, Elise finds it difficult getting around on their existing carpet. Having a new floor will not only transform the family home, it will also make life so much easier for Elise.

Our USA winner, Saint Vincent College, has been successfully nominated by Patti Suchko. With around 1,800 students, Saint Vincent College offers quality education in the Benedictine tradition. Patti nominated the college to receive a free floor to complete its latest renovations.

And finally, The Withers family from Australia, were nominated by Pets Charnwood to receive a free floor for their family home. The family face everyday challenges with Mrs Withers suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, Mr Withers crippled in bed and their youngest child was recently diagnosed with an autistic disorder. A free floor will make a big difference to the entire family.

Congratulations to all our winners! Don’t forget to nominate in this month’s appeal by 30th June.
