A big thank you to all who have submitted a cause to our ‘40 Free Floors for 40 Good Causes’ appeal, we’ve received some truly inspirational nominations from the UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
It’s been extremely difficult to judge once again, but we’re delighted to reveal our winners below. After reading their stories, we’re sure you’ll agree they’re extremely worthy causes indeed.
Our winners are as follows…
From the UK, Isabel Hospice based in Welwyn, Hertfordshire. Justine Perry very kindly nominated the charity, which is close to her heart, as a way of thanking the hospice for the superb care they provided for her late husband.
Our USA winner, Sibling House, has been successfully nominated by Michael Gaskill. It’s a children’s charity with a mission of providing support to a network of homes where siblings can stay together, as a family, while in foster care. The free floor will be given to one truly deserving network home, which provides care for sibling groups.
And finally, Te Aroha Noa Community Services Trust, a community development agency committed to assisting lower socio-economic and culturally diverse western suburbs of Palmerston North to become strong, resourceful and resilient. Nominated by Bruce Maden, the trust is currently in the process of building a new centre, with no funding for flooring, so their well deserved new Karndean floor should make a big difference.
Please join us in congratulating all our winners!
Who do you think deserves a free floor?
Get involved, we still have 24 floors left to give away and are now accepting nominations for December’s draw. All nominations received so far will be taken forward to this month, so there’s still a chance your nomination will be chosen by our judges. Good luck!
